Well it's apparently a game of tag now. Herr A. Enigma has here singled me out (well I guess eighthed me out would be more accurate) to answer this lovely-get-to-know-you-better-
intertube-quiz-thingamabob-whatchamacallit.
(And for the interested party, the spell checker just told me that I ought to have meant "pharmaceutically" and not "whatchamacallit". How delightfully non-fitting.)
THE RULES
- All right, here are the rules.
- We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
- Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
- People who are tagged write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
- At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
Egy: I am addicted to Lindt dark chocolate. If you've not tried it, you simply must. It is heavenly, nay, celestial, as in the top level of the celestial. I kid you not.
δύο: I am a fluent speaker of the German. I am also addicted to all things German, be it language or culinary related. Oh, and I speak Hebrew, but not all that well. I wanted to minor in it, but the two majors just kind of wore me out.
þrír: I am a staunch Canadian. I love fish and chips and vinegar (pepper, pepper, pepper, salt). I think that the Canadian National Anthem is one of the most beautiful ever, both in terms of music and lyrics.
四: I am addicted to linguistics and language(s). I love phonology and almost as much love I morphology. Discussing phonological change in Germanic is nigh unto orgasmic for me. (Do you like how those rhymed?)
חמש: I believe that I may well have obsessive compulsive personality order. (Officially it's termed a "disorder", but it is actually all about order.)
Anim: I am passionate about nature. I love trees, flowers, mountains, clouds, birds (not so much bees, unless they are producing me honey), rain, camping, gardening, snow, tornadoes (as long as I'm not in a trailer park), ponds, glaciers, glacier fed mountain lakes for swimming, rocks, shrubberies, herring, bears, moosen, scuba diving, reef sharks (less so hammerhead), giant sea turtles, manta rays, tundra, plains (steppes), foothills, taiga (boreal forest), wild raspberries, rhubarb, and... well you get the picture.
семь: I hate green beans. You know, they ones about 10cm long, when fresh they are disgustingly hairy and they have just the most revolting taste, fresh, frozen, canned, or whatever - ICK! I absolutely love string beans, you know, the ones that are half a metre long or so, and are not fuzzy and just taste heavenly when stir fried with sesame oil and lots of fresh garlic - YUM!
अष: My favourite colour (this week) is brown. I also enjoy red and yellow and green and scarlet and black and ochre and peach and ruby and olive and violet and fawn and lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve and cream and crimson and silver and rose and azure and lemon and russet and grey and purple and white and pink and orange and and blue.
And many, many more... Feel free to add to the list of colours.
I'll start:
chartreuse and periwinkle and burnt umber.

6 wisdomy word(s):
ummm, chocolate. Especially dark chocolate. Especially European dark chocolate (American chocolate just pales in comparison). Yes, I agree, it is the food of the gods!
I am addicted to linguistics and language(s). I love phonology and almost as much love I morphology. Discussing phonological change in Germanic is nigh unto orgasmic for me.
Them are a lot of big words - I'm not even sure what it all means; but, I'm really impressed.
Let's go back to talking about chocolate. Ummm, chocolate ...
Oh my! I'm tagged! And I'm cute! It's all overwhelming.
A proper post is going to have to wait until I return from vacation in Seattle however, which I'm preparing to leave for as I write (or rather, should be, if I can get off blogger)
BTW, I can't see the pictures of Lord Goring. I get either a "Referral Denied" or "Forbidden" message.
Just thought you might want to know.
Thanks Abe. I done fixed it!
P.S.
Just so you know, it's pronounced /mo:v/ not /ma:v/. I will have to harm you if you say /ma:v/.
That is all.
Thank you for tagging me, iwonder. I have accepted the challenge. Well, in part. :)
